NAME: Pyra/Mythra/Pneuma
CANON: Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (And it's prequel, Torna: The Golden Country)
CANON POINT: Right after XC2: Torna: The Golden Country
AGE: Pyra is about 500 years, Mythra is 501, Pneuma is as old as the world 2.0 was created by the Architect
BACKGROUND:
Pyra's wiki page.
Mythra's wiki page.
Pneuma's wiki page.
Main plot of Xenoblade Choronicles 2, but if that's too much, here is the shortened Aegis plot wiki page!
IN BRIEF: A long, long time ago Pneuma existed as a part of a triumvirate entity called the Trinity Processor, along with Ontos and Logos. They behaved as a collective, and they were there to monitor and regulate this thing called the Conduit, which is Xeno-series' multi-fold-dimensional, perfect eternal energy God, basically. A man named Klaus decided that the Universe 1.0 wan't good enough (and humans were selfish, everything was going to hell) so decided to use the Trinity Processor to tap the Conduit to wipe that universe completely out and build a new one. Which happened, and Klaus became the god of that new universe (where people would later call him the Architect), although he functions more like a demiurge to the actual "God" that is the Conduit. Ontos split from the Trinity by triggering a space-time event and vanished (which actually created another universe of XC1), leaving the burden to monitor the universe 2.0 along with regulating the Conduit to Ontos and Pneuma. For "untold millennia", as it's told in canon, the two remaining of the Trinity Processor had all evolutionary data and pressures relayed back to them as the world formed and grew anew, eventually forming humans once more (although the term "human" in canon can refer to a variety of different bipedal races that evolved separately on each Titan-continent).
To understand both Pyra and Mythra coming into the story, Pneuma has to be dealt with first. As mentioned before, Pneuma is the being that had once behaved as part of a three-minded entity called the Trinity Processor. As an artificial intelligence, its task was monitoring the new world for millions of years and sifting through a slew of new, evolutionary data, until eventually sentient life emerged once more. The processor's role in the world was solely to, well, process information; but compared to the other two aspects of the Trinity, she had the privileges to access Aion, the mechanism in which the world could be destroyed yet again. While we are not entirely sure what sort of base personality Pneuma might have had during this time, there are some hints that her opinion of the human condition was mostly neutral, if a little negative-leaning; and this is gathered from how Mythra is first awakened.
Mythra awakened by a man named Addam, who, being the first human to ever awaken her under the Blade system, thus limiting her, was able to imprint his wishes, ideals, ...and fears onto her. And that still did not make Mythra a good person; in fact, she was a person who was very distant to the ways of the world, callous, prideful, tactless, and with a penchant for destruction and a very negative view of humans. However over time, Addam's love for helping others and belief in the future curbed her more original, uncaring, destructive personality. Most importantly, he subconsciously passed the emotion of fear onto her to buffer her pride and cynicism-- the fear that she might hurt others. He taught her about humanity and altruism, about the goodness in others through example, telling her that she would grow to become more and more human with her emotions... and he was right. Her experience interacting with the world, the community of various Titans, and the party with which she traveled, made her see just how beautiful humanity could be. By the end of their travels, she had become someone who had grown to care about the well-being of humans, who believed that they were worth saving from destruction.
The canon point from which Mythra/Pyra is apped takes place after the events of the prequel game, at which Mythra is sealed within Pyra, and the two are put into a stasis-like mode and sunk in a ship deep beneath the Cloud Sea.
PERSONALITY:
♢♢♢Pyra is the weakest form of the Aegis, yet her strength comes from her character: she is kind, sincere, reserved, friendly, affectionate, and careful, taking the time to think out strategies in her battles. She looks to help others when they are in need and is someone who is always willing to lend an ear. Pyra's gentle empathy is her best feature, allowing her to connect with others, to understand the world that she wants to protect. Pyra is demure, calm, not easily bothered, even more difficult to provoke, and much of this comes from what she knows what it could mean when she loses control. Pyra works to keep that power capped. Because that cap is what Pyra is: a self-imposed limit on the Aegis's power by Mythra, a dormant state where not all of her abilities are accessible... and where the world may be safe because of it.
When the player is first introduced to Pyra she appears quiet but smiling to the protagonist, but her smile is rueful and her quietness carries a heavy sorrowfulness along with it. She does not explain why this is, and it is only later revealed that her request for the protagonist to bring her to Elysium was to "beg father to let us die" (with "us" referring to herself and Mythra). Mythra, and by extension Pyra, had come to the conclusion that theirs is a power too destructive for the world to remain in existence. Pyra keeps other secrets from the player as well, such as the existence of Mythra in general, which gives her the trait of being careful around others. She is aware that others would wish to control the power of the Aegis, so she take steps to ensure that she does not mistakenly reveal herself.
♢♢♢Mythra is the personae that first appears on Alrest, and she is bold, undaunted and steadfast. When she begins something, she finishes it, and this isn't just because of her own sense of stubbornness. She knows she has the ability to back her own words. She's quick to make decisions because of it. When something needs to be done, no matter how difficult Mythra will come to her own conclusions as swiftly as possible. She listens to her instinct, and she rarely doubts herself, to the point others may think her a simpleton or shameless. But to Mythra, one needs the confidence to act when they have power: she must believe that her decisions are the best ones she can make given what she knows and feels at the time. That doesn't mean she is immune to guilt or error, of course, but just that she tries to mitigate any guilt that should come if she makes a miscalculation.
Mythra isn't exactly the most tactful person. In fact, she can be downright rude to others. The odd thing about her rudeness is that she doesn't exactly mean to be rude; she’s simply blunt. Although she's improving now, she still has a tendency to look at the human condition in a negative light. Not that she believes that they will always remain-- as she may think it-- selfish, harmful, and self-destructive, but it's more of a disappointment on her part. She expects better from them, and she wants better for them, too.
Besides that, her tone can be brusque, distant, and not without a good dose of sarcasm. These are all, of course, walls that she's constructed to protect herself. She doesn't wish to feel such deep connections with others if they might end up being hurt by her. At her current canon point, she’s in a place of deep pain, sorrow, and regret, having killed many in the fallout of her battle with Malos/Logos. She is not as emotionally stable and sure as she was before, and this frightens her. The last thing she wants to do is to harm someone. She keeps things to herself as a result.
♢♢♢Pneuma is the true form of the Aegis, and she reflects a mix of Pyra/Mythra's personality. She is confident, calm, and thoughtful. She will take both the information she's gleamed from a situation, but also consider both her and other's feelings when coming to a conclusion. What inspires her isn’t just duty, it is her love. She loves the world because it is amazing to her-- for humans to come so far despite all the strife they have been through, to find a way to prosper even within the tumultuous environments of the Titan-continents, for people to come together despite their differences... Pneuma is in awe of what they have accomplished. She believes that for every nefarious person, there are more who are good, and that goodness is something to be cherished. She loves the new life the Architect created for her to monitor, and she wishes to see their lives be as peaceful as possible.
Take Mythra's confidence and mix that with Pyra's trait of being reserved, and poised is the result. Pneuma is proper and graceful, gentle but firm. Her speech is succinct, and her tone is simultaneously both calm and reassuring. She is open to conversation and debate, but if there is danger or someone is threatening those she cares for, she will be quick to act in their defense. As Pneuma is a blend of Pyra/Mythra’s personalities, she represents a unified and complete Aegis, a perfect harmony of the two. Like both Pyra/Mythra, she is self-sacrificing if necessary. Not only will she choose to sacrifice herself, she will not tell others that she is planning on doing so. She will even directly mislead others and give them false hope rather than tell her party members how she truly intends to execute her plans. And while she does feel sorry to tell them goodbye and see their sorrow, she is not at all regretful for her own actions. She only does what was necessary to help them live, even if that means sacrificing herself.
POWERS/ABILITIES:
Common Abilities among Pyra/Mythra/Pneuma:
♢ Please note that for this section, each ability gains in power between the three personalities. For instance, Pyra's barrier is the weakest, Mythra's is stronger, and Pneuma's is the most powerful.
♢ Superhuman speed/strength/endurance . The Aegis is not human even if she may look it. She can leap to great heights, and she can fall from them and not be hurt.
♢ Inhuman physiology. The Aegis's form takes that of a human; she "breathes", she can sweat, she can feel pain, and so on and so forth. And while her skin can be cut to show gashes and bleed, anything deep enough reveals that, internally, she is comprised of a matrix of energy: see here and here; Malos is comprised of the same thing, but of a different color energy, for those interested!).
♢ Warmth. Pyra/Mythra/Pneuma is not affected by the heat or cold, although she can feel when things are hot/cold.
♢ Shield. All the Aegises can make a barrier fashioned out of a light- hexagonal-pattern. This barrier can negate physical as well as ether/magic-based attacks. All Blades have this ability, but the Aegis's barrier has been shown to protect her from entire missile bombardments.
♢ Sword. Specifically, the ability to summon their sword whenever they wish. Their sword can appear from their Core Crystals or simply their hand as they see fit. They can control their sword from a distance (as seen in their specials), but they primarily fight by wielding it in their own hands, or passing the sword to another and letting them use it, while they stay back and activate their Blade Arts.
♢ Artifice control. The Aegis can control their Artifices remotely, which are basically giant robots. They can also manually pilot their Artifices. Pyra has only some control of them, while Mythra and Pneuma have complete control. Note: Pyra/Mythra/Pneuma will not be coming with their canon artifices.
♢ Ether manipulation: This one is a little doozy to explain, but basically ether = energy. Blades in canon have different ether affiliations such as earth/water/fire. Pyra's is fire... but it's also not really normal fire, either (it can't be doused by rain); Mythra is a little more straightforward, since her energy appears as light. Pneuma's energy can automatically become any element that is a weakness to another's.
♢ Healing/revival. While Mythra and Penuma can literally heal a party member, Pyra cannot. If someone dies, Pyra/Mythra can splice their Core Crystal to put it into them to bring them back to life, good as news. In the canon instance, the protagonist's heart was impaled. It was later revealed that Pyra reconstructed his heart using the Core Crystal. Canon gives an explanation that the Aegis can reconstruct even a totally dead heart because she contains all evolutionary data (I...I know, that's not much of an explanation, but it's what they give.) In their true form, Pneuma can touch someone and restore their forms.
Pyra:
♢ Wiki link to abilities section! Most of her attacks revolve around integrating sword + fire into heavy-damage-dealing attacks.
♢ Primary power is of "fire". She has been shown to create fire at-will within the palm of her hands for mundane things such as lighting a fire or lamp. She can also blast fire from her hands as well, and she is able to melt through military-grade metal in seconds. However, Pyra's ether, that is, her energy appears as fire... but even though she is labeled under a fire Blade, we find out that she is not effected by rain/water like normal fire-type Blades. That's because her flames aren't actually fire, but energy that just mimics it.
♢ She is an excellent cook.
♢ Passives include: increasing her and her party's accuracy, transferring energy, and increasing critical damage.
♢ Focus. This is a "field skill" from Pyra; it allows Pyra to basically focus her (or another person's) mind to concentrate on a task at hand in order to be more efficient to complete it. It also lets her pick up on extra details that would otherwise be ignored.
♢ Star (sun?) creation: This happens in one cutscene, though, and it's likely to be Pyra's biggest attack. Still, it calls back to her old role as part of the Trinity in creating the world, and so it's noteworthy.
Mythra:
♢ Wiki link to abilities section! Her attacks combine light + sword.
♢ Foresight: allows her to see into the future. In battle, this is used as a means to predict where an opponent will step or strike next, and this especially helps with opponents moving at the speed of light.
♢ Near-light-speed speed: She can only keep this up for a limited amount of time, however.
♢ Primary power is of light. She can create light within her hands, illuminating the darkness of an area wherever she walks, and use it for basic attacks. She also can go light-speed; blitzing around the battlefield during attacks if she wishes. Mythra has also rudimentary hadron manipulation, from one of her attacks.
♢ Passives include: Increasing damage dealt by two-fold when she or her party member is low on health/injured, increasing her and her party members's evasion and accuracy, and when critically hitting an enemy her power is recharged automatically. She, like Pyra, can transfer her energy to another if they need it.
♢ Focus. The same "field skill" as Pyra. In the game narrative itself this ability is tiers above what Pyra can do; for instance in one cutscene, Mythra takes one look at a large cavern and says that she has analyzed the entire structure of it, even to the point of determining its sole weak point.
♢ Power regulation/accuracy: she can hone her attacks that even while a beam of light might fire at everyone, it only damages certain targets.
Pneuma:
♢ Wiki link to ability section! Pneuma's attacks combine light + sword techniques for devastating hits.
♢ Speed: Pneuma can move faster than the speed of light (without breaking physics apparently), and also bring someone else with her to move at this speed if she so chooses.
♢ Core Crystal Healing: She can restore an injured Blade's core crystal. This is more specific to other Blades, so it probably won't work in this game unless other Blades app.
♢ Armor summon: Pneuma can conjure up an outfit/armor for those who are linked to her.
♢ Telekinesis (?): We see it in one cutscene, where Pneuma just waves her hand and destroys an entire bridge on the spot.
♢ Ether/energy transformation: Her energy becomes any element, from light to darkness. In the game, Pneuma's power is automatically made to be of an opponent's weakness (i.e. her energy would become water to a fire-type monster), even from a counterattack or a reflect. This is another allusion to her role as part of the Trinity Processor and her connection to the Conduit, for the power she has helped created the Universe 2.0.
♢ Worm-hole carving. Pneuma can carve out a worm-hole from nothing...
♢ Passives include: increasing critical hits and accuracy of her and her party members, on blocking an attack the would-be damage is completely reflected, if a party member is able to KO, they are automatically healed.
♢ Hover: Pneuma can hover in the air... although higher-speed flight occurs when she's going light-speed and/or faster than the speed of light.
♢ Reality manipulation: "The ability to make anything she wishes a realty." We only see this a couple times in canon, and it isn't used to, say, create a giant castle out of no-where; at most it's used to rewrite physics at her convinence. For instance, when faced with an opponent who can also go light-speed and manipulate elementary particles, Pneuma decides to make a new law saying that she can go faster than that.

Pneuma: Narrative
[ She watches, she waits, she is asleep, she's dormant, she's unknown, a whisper, a ghost to the two other personalities derived from her, derived from her power, tiers down from what she truly is.
She's dreaming-- of the world that is not on the brink of extinction, of a world that is safe from the harms of another Aegis, of a world that does not have the threat of destruction looming over all, also waiting, at a command, a word to begin the end all over again.
She's there, she's patient, she's keeping them steady, because she remembers although they do not; she remembers who they are, who they truly are, what their role is truly meant to be.
She feels... She feels power, that impossible, immaculate, omniscient, omnipotent, eternal sort of power that stretches across the world and worlds, so perfect that it must only be divine. The Conduit. It's shining, golden; it's within her, yet distant; as distant as a memory as the old world was, before it was destroyed and recreated.
Ah... Her own voice is faint within her mind. Just a little longer...
Just a little longer, if the world can exist just a little longer, if she can simply return to Elysium, if she can simply stand before her Father, the god of her world, the Architect yet again... If she can just get there once more, she will be able to ensure that the world will never be in danger because of her... ever again. ]
Question: Since Pyra/Mythra/Pneuma are all one entity, but they all appear vastly different. Would it be okay, if accepted, to use three different journals for them? I only ask out of convenience for myself since it keeps track of their comments more easily for me (as well as icons), but if not, that's understandable! Just figured I'd ask. Thank for your time!

Because the TDM did not give me a chance to showcase Mythra or Pneuma, I'll provide extra samples for both of them:
Mythra: Links! link#1 link#2; both from a different game but they're taken from the same canonpoint. Please note that
