[Pyra approaches and Yan Qing nearly stumbles back, his face flushed with color. She would do that? For him? She hasn't even read a single page about him, and she would honor him nonetheless? Like the time with her when he arrived, his heart skips a beat, and the same feeling rises to the surface once more. He should be his normal self and laugh this off, but when she smiles at him like that, he suddenly doesn't know what to do.

We traveled a number of Titan-continents together, a band of-- a prince, myself, a child we had found, and then later came a mercenary and her partner, another child they had found, and finally an emperor and his two vassals. [ SIMPLE. ]
That was my "family", although we didn't have any sort of place or fortress where we all made a home for ourselves.
[ It's... actually taking a great deal for her to talk about them in general, for most of them have perished, or otherwise completely forgotten her. ] We, too, wished for peace for our world.
[ Yan Qing puts the mask down and follows her along the aisle as he listens. She speaks in a way he hasn't heard before. Her words would often come so easily. At times, he'd be envious. He was candid, but never honest. Not in the way she is, when she can tell him how good he is and how much she cares. But now, Pyra seems to struggle with even a happy memory. ]
Hehe, I always knew you were a good guy! They sound like a fun bunch. I bet every day was an adventure with them around!
[ But she doesn't talk about her real family, and like him, it sounds as if she is talking about a past too far for them to return to.
After a moment of hesitation, he reaches for Pyra's hand. ]

In the same fluid motion, he directs the subject from her to him, something for which she's grateful; for as much as she can pretend to speak of her family and past, the memories are five hundred years too raw for her to think too deeply about it. When she parts from him and returns to her home, there will be nothing but tears over the loss of them all...

[ But why? ] To... spend time with me? [ Perhaps, she thinks, she must have missed something. Boisterous as he is, that he may have this sort of insecurity never even occurred to her before. ] Not at all.
[ She shakes her head, squeezing his hand. ] I-In fact, I'm extremely grateful that you asked me out at all!

[ She wants to reply that he has never, ever held her back for anything truly, and still the question arises of how and when, if ever, she's ever made him feel that way in return.
But then he says the "d" word and her eyes widen and she blushes and she looks as if he's finally, finally said something that's gotten all of her other thoughts to fly right out the proverbial window. ] A.... a date?
[ They've done so much more than date. Isn't this what's suppose to come first? Her pitch is lighter, as if she's suddenly more nervous than before. ] You--... this was a date all along...?
[Ever the mischievous one, Yan Qing tugs her closer. Why does that make her nervous first? They've already done so much together. He can't help the smile that grows wider as he watches her expression change under the weight of his stare. So she was happy to be with him even if this wasn't a date?
Maybe this is why his heart soars.]

He pulls her closer, she finds her palms resting against his chest once more. From the jell-ato, a tingle of static passes from her fingertips to him, and from him to her. It's not unpleasant; instead, it feels like a flutter of warmth rippling down her skin. ]

[ People come and go in this world. People fade. People leave, people disappear. But she wants to be with him, until then. ]

[ There is a world he needs to save, a place he should go back to, but he wouldn't mind a whole eternity of this. He gives her ass a squeeze, pushing her hips against his own, and fingers begin searching for the elastic they can slip into. He's the WORST!!! ]
[ Her neck cranes not even by her own will; it's all instinctual to follow that pleasure he evokes within her, and it crawls down her body so slowly it's torture. Shutting her eyes as his lips hit a particularly sensitive spot upon her skin, she bites down upon her bottom lip, willing herself silent. The tactic doesn't work when his hands caress to press her hips flush against his-- a motion that won't be entirely forceful, because her body willingly, suddenly locks against his in turn.... and rubs the concavity of hers against his.
An airy sound passes from her lips, high-pitched enough to be something between a sigh and a whine. Her body shudders, and when it passes, her breath has become noticeably more staggered.
Just as his hand begins to intrude, her own raises up the length of his back, except in lieu of her usual warmth, he might notice it's a static of sorts that follows the path of his spine, gathering up energy in the process, and....
...it shocks him upon the neck. She doesn't even realize what she's done. ]
[Her body knows how to fit into his, and perhaps that is why he anticipates every moment their eyes meet, every second their hands touch. The warmth between her thighs tells him that they'll waste no time, the sensation up his spine so sweet and electric, he'd sooner collapse were she not holding him tenderly.
